Cameroon Names Eight 2017 Winners In Provisional AFCON Squad

Cameroon announced their provisional 34-man provisional squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, and included eight players from  the 2017 title-winning campaign.

The Indomitable Lions were drawn in Group F alongside  Ghana, Benin and Guinea-Bissau for the tournament in Egypt.

Fabrice Ondoa, Collins Fai, Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui, Ambroise Onyongo, Arnaud Djoum, Clinton Njie, Georges Mandjeck and Christian Bassogog were in the squad that won the competition two years ago.

There is also a return for Eric Maxime Choupo-Moting, Zambo Anguissa and Andre Onana, who had chosen to turn down a chance to compete at the 2017 edition.

However, there was no place in the squad for Liverpool star Joel Matip, despite his fine form for the Reds this season.
