CAF have announced the official 2018 African Team of the Year, and one Premier Soccer League star has made Africa’s Finest XI.

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper has made the selection after his fine performances for club and country in 2018. The Uganda goalkeeper has written headlines after qualifying for the 2019 AFCON without conceding so far.
Onyango was the only African-based player to be named in Africa's Finest XI with the rest of the selected stars all being based in Europe.
In defense, Ivory Coast right-back Serge Aurier was chosen alongside Senegal's strong centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly. Morocco's Mehdi Benatia and Ivory Coast's Eric Bailly complete the back four.
In midfield, Ghana's Thomas Partey was selected alongside Guinea and Liverpool man Naby Keita as well as Algeria's Riyad Mahrez.
Upfront, Egypt's Mohamed Salah was voted into Africa's Finest XI following his performances for Egypt and Liverpool in 2018. He is accompanied by his club teammate and Senegal star Sadio Mane as well as Arsenal and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
