African Star: Winning This Trophy Would Mean A Lot
Alex Iwobi Previews Carabao Cup Final Against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City
Arsenal star Alex Iwobi has told Soccer Laduma exclusively what it would mean to beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the League Cup final.
The 24-year-old could already win a fourth trophy of his young career on Sunday, after previously lifting two FA Community Shields and one FA Cup with the Gunners.
The Nigeria international, who recently starred with a brace against Argentina, spoke exclusively with Soccer Laduma ahead of the upcoming Carabao Cup final against City.
“It’s the ambition of every footballer to lift as many trophies as possible during his playing career and it would mean a lot to me to add this trophy to the silverware I have won so far,” Iwobi told Soccer Laduma.
“I am very excited at the opportunity of playing another match at Wembley Stadium.
“This is a very important game for us as we have to keep the momentum going until the end of the season.
“We have a very good chance of winning the trophy and will have to be at our best to beat Manchester City, as they are a very good team.”
