Egyptian giants Al Ahly have confirmed the departure of a first-team striker following the arrivals of new signings in the past couple weeks.
Marwan Mohsen has officially left the Red Devils after his contract expired and the club decided not to extend.
The Egypt international has been with the 'Club of Century' since 2016 and has racked up 112 appearances during that time while scoring 23 goals and adding 10 more assists.
Sayed Abdelhafiz, the team’s director of football, announced the departure of Marwan Mohsen from Al Ahly.
Abdelhafiz held a meeting with the player on Wednesday, during which he thanked him for his time at the club.
Finally, Abdelhafiz also stressed to Mohsen that the club appreciates his commitment and dedication towards Al Ahly and; therefore, he’ll be allowed to join any club on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old won 11 trophies with the Red Devils, including four Egyptian Premier League titles and two CAF Champions League trophies.
