Al Ahly assistant coach Sami Komsan has sent a warning to the new signings after missing out on the Egyptian Premier League title.
The Red Devils have completed the signings of Percy Tau, Luis Miquissone and Hossam Hassan this week to bolster the squad ahead of the new season .
After missing out on the Egyptian Premier League title to rivals Zamalek, Komsan has told the new players that it is a huge responsibility to wear the Al Ahly jersey.
“We are disappointed after losing the league title this season. We will come back stronger for the upcoming challenges," the assistant coach said, as per the club's official website.
“The speech of president El Khatib to the players after the game against El Gouna was very important for the team.”
“Today’s game was very strong and we did not have the opportunity to give playing time to Mohamed Mahmoud, who just returned from a long injury absence.”
“The new signings will strengthen our squad. All the big teams always search for the big players. It is a huge responsibility to wear Al Ahly’s jersey.”
“We have big ambitions and we want to compete with the biggest teams. We will play in the FIFA Club World Cup and the new signings will help us a lot.”
