Official: Another Country Qualifies For Afcon

Zimbabwe 2-2 Algeria

Algeria have qualified for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations despite surrendering a two-goal lead against Zimbabwe.

The visitors raced into a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to goals from Andy Delort and a classy finish from Riyad Mahrez.

The Warriors did pull a goal back through Knowledge Musona's superb free-kick in the 43rd minute before Prince Dube's 82nd minute strike rescued a point for the hosts.

South Sudan 1-0 Uganda

Uganda's qualification hopes took a slight knock after falling to a 1-0 loss at the hands of South Sudan.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 33rd minute when Khalid Aucho was shown a straight red card after a penalty was awarded to the hosts.

Tito Okello took responsibility for the spot-kick and made no mistake to put Sudan ahead before the break, which ultimately secured the win.

Malawi 0-0 Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso remain top of Group B after playing to a goalless draw at Malawi on Monday afternoon.

Malawi find themselves in third spot after four matches.

Eswatini 0-0 Congo

Congo edged closer to securing a spot at Afcon after drawing 0-0 away to winless Eswatini.

With Group I leaders Senegal already qualified, a win for Congo in their next game will seal a spot at next year's tournament.

The win sees Botswana leapfrog Zambia into third spot, with two rounds of matches left in the qualifiers.

Gambia 2-1 Gabon

Gambia leapfrogged Gabon into top spot in Group D after defeating Gabon 2-1 on Monday evening.

Gabon were in the news all Monday after they were forced to sleep at the airport ahead of the clash.

Nevertheless, the hosts got the win thanks to a second-half brace by Musa Barrows, as Bruno Ecuele Managa's for Gabon proved to be a consolation.

Mozambique 0-2 Cameroon

Cameroon got the better of Mozambique after claiming 2-0 victory on Monday evening.

After Reginaldo missed a penalty for the hosts in the 22nd minute, Vincent Aboubakar gave Cameroon the lead four minutes later.

Serge Tabekou sealed the win for Indomitable Lions, who sit top of Group F while Mozambique remain second.
