Mohamed Salah had a memorable evening as Egypt thumped Niger 6-0 to secure their first win in Group J on Saturday evening.
Salah had missed two penalties, although he scored from the rebound on the second spot-kick, while he completed his brace in the second half. The Liverpool star also registered two assists.
Marwan Mohsen also netted a brace, while Mohamed Elneny and Ayman Ahsraf also got on the score-sheet for the Pharaohs.
Comoros 1-1 Cameroon
Cameroon began life under Clarence Seedorf with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Comoros on Saturday afternoon.
El Fardou Ben put the home side ahead after 15 minutes, before Seedorf's blushes were saved thanks to a Stephane Bahoken's 80th minute strike.
Kenya 1-0 Ghana
Ghana were left stunned after suffering a 1-0 loss to Kenya, who were without Victor Wanyama on Saturday afternoon.
The game's only goal arrived in the 39th minute via an own goal from Nicholas Opoku, while the hosts also had Josh Onyango sent off on 69 minutes.
Namibia 1-1 Zambia
Zambia remain without a win in Group K after they drew 1-1 with Namibia on Saturday afternoon.
Former Platinum Stars striker Benson Shilongo put the hosts ahead in the 78th minute before Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga sealed a draw with a free-kick in the closing stages.
