The transfer window shut a while ago, but there are still a few African stars who could join clubs for free, including a UEFA Champions League winner, one of Paul Pogba's brothers, and a former Kaizer Chiefs stalwart.

Florentin Pogba, who is one of Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba's older twin brothers, is still without a club, while his twin Mathias recently joined French third-tier side Tours.
The 28-year-old centre-back actually faced his younger brother Paul with St Etienne in the UEFA Europa League during the 2016/17 campaign, when United ended up winning that title, but things have seemingly gone downhill for him since then.
After losing his starting spot with the Ligue 1 side, he joined Turkish club Genclerbirligi in January 2018 for a six-month loan stint. However, the Super Lig side opted against signing him permanently and he has since been a free agent.
He is not the only African player without a contract – former UEFA Champions League winner Sulley Muntari has been unattached since the end of last season.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who has won eight trophies in his career and played for both Milan giants as well as Portsmouth in England, was last with Deportivo La Coruna. He made eight appearances for the Spanish side but was unable to help prevent the club from being relegated and ultimately left after his short spell in Spain.
On the local side, Tsepo Masilela is still without a club after parting ways with Amakhosi earlier this year. The 33-year-old left-back made 146 appearances for Chiefs, as per Transfermarkt, but the Soweto giants opted against activating a one-year option on his contract.
