Nigeria Finish Top, Bafana & Libya To Battle For Second Spot

Nigeria 3-1 Seychelles

Nigeria finished top of Group E with a 3-1 victory over Seychelles at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Saturday.

Odion Ighalo opened the scoring for the hosts in the 35th minute but Roddy Melanie equalized for Seychelles in the 41st minute. However, Henry Onyekuru (50') and Simon Moses (90+2) sealed the three points for the Super Eagles.

Malawi 0-0 Morocco

Malawi and Morocco played out a dour 0-0 draw at Bingu National Stadium on Friday evening.

Morocco will top Group B if Cameroon fail to beat Comoros tomorrow by more than five goals. Meanwhile, Malawi bow out.

Sudan 1-4 Equatorial Guinea

It was something of a dead-rubber, with both teams already ensured of not qualifying for the continental showpiece.

Mokhtar Mohamed gave the hosts a shock lead but an Emilio Insue brace and goals from Pablo Ganet and Pedro Obiang propelled Nzalang Nacional to a commanding 4-1 victory.

Botswana 0-1 Angola

Angola claimed top spot in Group 1 after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Botswana.

Wilson's 21st-minute strike was enough to ensure the Angolans squeezed past their stubborn hosts and finished above Mauritania by virtue of a superior head-to-head record.

Burkina Faso 1-0 Mauritania

Despite beating Mauritania 1-0, Burkina Faso have failed to qualify for AFCON 2019.

Lyon's Bertrand Traore's 19th minute strike was enough to seal the three points but Mauritania still finish above the Burkinabes, who won't be heading to Egypt.

Tunisia 4-0 Swaziland

Tunisia beat Swaziland 4-0 to go top of Group H temporarily.

The hosts scored through Syam Ben Yousseff, Anice Badri, Naim Sliti and Yassine Meriah.

However, if Egypt beat Niger tomorrow they will go top by virtue of a superior head-to-head record against Tunisia.

Algeria 1-1 Gambia

Algeria made sure they finished top of Group B despite drawing 1-1 with Gambia at Stade Mustapha Tchaker on Friday evening.

Mehdi Abeid broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 43rd minute but Futty Danso equalized for Gambia in second-half stoppage time.
