Malawi 2-1 Ethiopia
Malawi began their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign off to a positive start with a 2-1 win over Ethiopia.
Orlando Pirates forward Gabadinho Mhango, who starred at last year's Afcon, opened the scoring on 10 minutes for the penalty spot.
Mhango was at the double in the 34th minute after converting his second penalty of the day.
Abubeker Nasir did pull a goal back for Ethiopia in the 68th minute, but the Flames held on for the win.
Madagascar 1-1 Angola
Madagascar and Angola settled for a share of the spoils in their Group E opener on Sunday afternoon.
The home side got the opening goal after 36 minutes, with Njiva Rakotoharimalala finding the back of the net for his first goal of the campaign.
Angola weren't behind for too long as Gelson Dala restored parity three minutes before the halftime break.
Central African Republic 1-1 Ghana
Ghana failed to make it two wins in a row in Group E after drawing 1-1 with the Central African Republic in Luanda.
The Black Stars started with a 3-0 win over Madagascar earlier this week, while CAR suffered defeat at Angola.
The visitors broke the deadlock on 17 minutes thanks to Mohammed Kudus' second goal of the qualifying campaign.
Botswana 0-0 Tunisia
Botswana secured their first point in Group J after holding Tunisia to a goalless draw on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts get off the mark in the qualifiers after losing to Libya during the week, while Tunisia sit remain unbeaten after starting with a win over Equatorial Guinea.
