Ivory Coast enjoyed a perfect start in Group H after thrashing Zambia 3-1 on Friday evening at Stade de Yamoussoukro.
Following a goalless first stanza, Serge Aurier broke the deadlock for the Elephants in the 67th minute and Christian Kouame doubled their lead 14 minutes before time.
Ibrahim Sangare put the game to bed for the West African giants in the last minute.
Patson Daka scored a consolation goal for Chipolopolo in stoppage time.
Burkina Faso 2-0 Cape Verde
Burkina Faso opened their Group B campaign on a winning note after beating Cape Verde 2-0 on Friday evening at Stade de Marrakech.
Following a goalless first stanza, Hassane Bande eventually broke the deadlock for the Stallions just before the hour-mark and Dango Ouattara sealed the result with two minutes remaining.
Togo 2-2 Eswatini
Togo were denied an opening victory in Group B after Eswatini netted in stoppage time in a four-goal thriller at Stade de Kegue.
Meme Fessou broke the deadlock for Togo in the 20th minute and it took up until the last six minutes for Sabelo Ndzinisa to find the equaliser for Eswatini.
Kodjo Laba restored the lead for the Sparrowhawks three minutes later but Siboniso Ngwenya salvaged the share of the spoils with the equaliser for the Southern African side deep in stoppage time.
Comoros 2-0 Lesotho
Comoros got their Group H campaign on a winning note after beating Lesotho 2-0 at Stade Omnisports de Malouzini.
After a goalless first stanza, Youssouf M'Changama eventually broke the deadlock for Comoros on the hour-mark.
The home side ended any hopes of a Lesotho comeback when Bendjaloud Youssouf sealed the deal nine minutes before time.
