Despite leaving many of their biggest stars at home for the tournament, Germany were worthy champions of the Confederations Cup.
Low's side beat Australia, Cameroon and Mexico on their way to the final, with captain Julian Draxler leading the charge.
The winning manager was proud of his side after their victory on Sunday night, which came courtesy of a goal in the 20th minute from Lars Stindl.
"I'm immensely proud of this team because they have been together for only three and half weeks," Low said, according to the Daily Mail.
"You could actually feel in all of our training sessions, every single day, that something was happening there. You could feel an unbelievable hunger for victory, both on the training pitch and during matches, so it's well deserved.
"The fact that these young players have won this tournament makes it an historic achievement, it's unique in Germany's history, (and) it's outstanding."
