Jose Mourinho Praises ‘Important’ Star & Gives Update On Injured Paul Pogba
An unhappy Jose Mourinho has reiterated how important a particular star is to his Manchester United squad, and also gave an update on Paul Pogba's injury.
The Red Devils beat Swiss champions Basel 3-0 in their UEFA Champions League opener on Tuesday night, but the performance was not good enough for the Portuguese tactician.
Mourinho did, however, laud the return of Belgium international Marouane Fellaini, who came on for the injured Paul Pogba in the first half and scored the opening goal of the clash.
"I keep saying the same about Fellaini," Mourinho said, as quoted by the Daily Express.
"He is a player with special qualities, and he gives me multiple areas of action.
"He is one of my most important players."
The extent of Pogba's injury is unknown, but Mourinho believes he will be without his superstar midfielder for only a few weeks.
"I just know from experience it's a muscular injury," the former Chelsea boss added.
"In my experience, muscular injuries stop you from playing for a few weeks, I think."
The Old Trafford side has a busy September ahead of them as face the likes of Everton, Burton Albion, Southampton, CSKA Moscow and Crystal Palace.
