Oke Akpoveta Joins Azerbaijani Outfit

Azerbaijani Premier League outfit Ravan Baku FK have completed the signing of Oke Akpoveta on a four-month contract, with a further year inserted into the deal, SL10 has been told by the player exclusively.

The 22-year-old attacker arrives the capital club as a free agent having mutually agreed to part company with Brondby, Denmark due to his lack of first team opportunities.

''Before I signed for Ravan, I was training with HB Koge (Denmark),"  Oke Akpoveta said to SL10.

''They wanted to keep me on the condition that they offload one of their players before a contract offer.

''I really loved to remain in Europe but when this offer came up, me and my agent discussed about it. 

''So we decided that I come to get some playing time which is necessary for me at the moment.'' 

Including performance related add-ons, the former Warri Wolves ace will pocket $80,000 in the four - month contract he penned with Ravan Baku.
