It's been a long wait for the Prince of Persia Remake, and Ubisoft have now announced that the game will be handled by a new studio.
The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was announced way back in September 2020, and was supposed to release in January 2021.
However, in December 2020 the first delay was announced, with the game moved to March 2021 for release, before an indefinite delay was confirmed in February 2021.
In a statement, Ubisoft have now confirmed that the game will head back to Ubisoft Montreal, the studio which originally made the Prince of Persia trilogy.
"This decision is an important step and the team, building upon the work achieved by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, will now take the time they need to regroup on the scope of the game to deliver you the best experience for this remake of an all-time classic, when it's ready," read the statement on the game's official Twitter account.
There was no indication as to the new release timeframe, and the developers simply stated that updates will be provided in the future.
