Siphiwe Tshabalala’s stunning 40-yard strike against Free State Stars has left Mzansi fans in awe and his wonder goal is now even making the rounds in England.
The 30-year-old scored Kaizer Chiefs’ fourth in their 4-0 victory on Saturday, netting a superb volley from outside the box, leaving Ea Lla Kota goalkeeper Johnny Mathole stunned.
A vine clip of Tshabalala’s strike has been published by 101greatgoals and was played more than 70 000 times in the first hour.
The video was accompanied by the following statement on site's Twitter account:
“Siphiwe Tshabalala incredible 40 yard golazo for Kaizer Chiefs at same stadium.”
101greatgoals are obviously referring to Tshabalala’s stunning opener at the 2010 World Cup, when he scored in South Africa's 1-1 draw against Mexico.
Award-winning Twitter account FourFourTweet, who have more than 150 000 followers, also tweeted about Shabba's screamer.
Tshabalala is the third South African star whose heroics have been doing the rounds overseas; first it was Thabo Rakhale's “yoyo-trick” and then Mandla Masango’s goal at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations that were admired abroad.
