Orlando Pirates legend, Edward Motale firmly believes that current care-taker coach, Eric Tinkler should be left to coach the Soweto giants based on his current record.
The Siya crew earlier reported that the 44-year-old former Bafana Bafana international was under review by the Bucs management who were still undecided as to whether he should remain head coach or if a more experienced candidate should be appointed for the role.
“So far he has done well as he has only lost one match in charge of Pirates. If he continues in the same way, then why not keep him as the coach permanently?” expressed Magents.
“When he took over, Pirates were in shambles, since then you can see a major difference in the team, even the body language of the players is different. Clearly he along with coach Teboho Moloi understand the players better.”
On whether or not Tinkler should play Lehlohonolo Majoro or save him for the upcoming Soweto derby, Magents was quick to note that 'Ballojoro' should be fielded in tonight’s league fixture against Free State Stars at the Charles Mopeli Stadium.
“Saturday is not guaranteed, so Majoro should be allowed to play tonight. The three points are what is important not the opposition. Should Majoro get his fourth of the season and be suspended it would be unfortunate, but the coach will deal with that when the time comes,” concluded the Pirates legend.
