Paris Saint-Germain's Dani Alves was selected at right back, while his fullback partner Layvin Kurzawa was chosen at left back. The football statistics website rated Manchester City's John Stones and Real Madrid's Nacho as the two best centre backs of the group stage.
Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho were named in midfield, along with Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard and PSG's world record signing Neymar, who contributed to 10 goals in six group matches.
Spurs forward Harry Kane and Los Blancos superstar Cristiano Ronaldo were selected as the best strikers at this stage of the tournament. While Kane was impressive with his six goals in five matches, Ronaldo set a new UCL record in becoming the first player to score in all six group clashes.
