Former Juventus defender Moreno Torricelli believes that only weapons of mass destruction can stop FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
The retired defender, who played for Juventus for six years between 1992 and 1998, believes that the Spanish giants are favourites for the Champions League final – suggesting that only serious weaponry can stop Barcelona’s front-three.
“I think Barcelona start as favourites because of their forward line,” he told Esports Cope.
“You need guns and bombs to stop them!”
Torricelli touched on the Italian side’s chances in the final, saying that the Bianconeri will need to be more focussed than ever if they’re to keep out the Catalan club.
“Defensively, Juve are organised but they will need great intelligence and preparation to stop Barca,” he continued.
“They will have to work harder than they have at any other point this season.
“They've all got experience in this competition but Juventus can score goals and they will be a threat.”
In his six years at Juventus, Torricelli won the Champions League once, the Serie A three times, and the Coppa Italia twice.
The Champions League final will be played on June 6 in Berlin, with both sides aiming to do the treble.
