SA Starlet Lands Portuguese Deal
South African teenager, Luther Singh, is the latest player from Mzansi to land himself a contract in Portugal, signing for Braga..
The Siya crew reported earlier this week that the 19-year-old was on the verge of joining the Portuguese outfit, and he recently jetted out to Europe to finalise the move.
Now, having agreed terms and put pen to paper on a deal, the crew can confirm that he is a Braga player.
It remains to be seen when the Stars of Africa graduate will be given his debut by head coach, Jorge Simão, however there is a small chance that he could feature against Bongani Zungu’s side, Vitoria de Guimaraes, when the two sides meet this weekend.
Singh – a South African U20 international – made his name at GAIS after signing from SoA in August 2015, and joins Braga as a free transfer after his contract in Sweden expired back in November.
SoA have successfully developed the likes of Tokelo Rantie, May Mahlangu, Thibang Phete and many others that are plying their trade across Europe, and will be hoping for Singh, one of their most talented youngsters, to go out and keep his star rising.
