Wits coach, Gavin Hunt, is assessing Keamogetse Wolff and Danleigh Borman, with a view of adding the players to his roster ahead of the 2013/14 season.
Wolff finished the 2012/13 season with Chippa United, having joined the club in January after parting ways with Ajax Cape Town. Borman, meanwhile, was with Hunt at SuperSport United last season.
Borman is hoping to have a another opportunity under Hunt, although he struggled for game time during their time at Matsatsantsa.
A source at Wits confirmed that the two players played for Hunt’s side in a friendly game against the club’s juniors earlier today (Thursday).
“We had a friendly game today against the boys from the development. I think we won 6-3. Wolff is here with us. He arrived today. He played for us against those boys from development. He (Borman) is also here. He arrived today as well,” said the source.
Wits are showing signs of promise during pre-season. They played and beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in a friendly played at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday, with newly-signed Ethiopian striker Getaneh Kebede proving his worth.
