The Siya crew can reveal that Ugandan midfielder, Sula Matovu, is training with Kaizer Chiefs, with a view of impressing coach Steve Komphela and his technical team.
Last week the Siya crew revealed on the Soccer Laduma web and mobi-site that Chiefs were monitoring the 22-year old player and it was thought that Amakhosi could be interested in signing him, after his contract with Swedish side, Hacken, had expired.
Siya sources have now informed the crew that Matovu is training with the rest of the Chiefs squad under the mentorship of Komphela.
At present, it’s unknown if the Uganda international has opened talks with the club over a possible deal or if he is close to agreeing terms, although it has been confirmed that he is at Naturena.
Chiefs are looking to bolster their squad for the 2015/16 PSL season and yesterday announced a number of new acquisitions, as predicted by the Siya crew.
Amongst the new signings are Camaldine Abraw, Bongani ‘Drogba’ Ndulula, Daniel Cardoso, Keegan Ritchie and Siyanda Xulu.
It now remains to be seen if Matovu does enough to impress Komphela and secure himself a move to Chiefs.
