University of Pretoria are understood to be interested in securing a loan deal for Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Percy Tau.
Tau made his debut for the Sundowns first team back in 2014 after graduating from the club's development structures.
The 21-year-old was handed a chance by Downs coach, Pitso Mosimane, but failed to firmly cement a place in his plans and was used sporadically last season, making seven appearances in all competitions.
The talented youngster has not featured for the Chloorkop-based outfit this season and has instead been playing for their MultiChoice Diski Challenge team.
Siya sources have indicated that the player could look for first team game time in the PSL elsewhere come January, with a source explaining that Tuks are interested in offering the player a loan deal.
“If all goes well, then we can expect a loan move in January. It is clear that the coach (Mosimane) won’t be using him any time soon and it’s in the best interest of the team and the player for him to go on loan and get game-time,” the source said.
“Since AmaTuks are interested in him, I think they will let him go on loan as there is a good understanding between Sundowns and AmaTuks.”
Do you think that going to Tuks on loan would be a good move for the talented youngster? What other clubs do you think he should consider going to in order to gain experience?
