Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tsepo Masilela, says Chiefs threw everything they had at Jomo Cosmos in their latest league match.
The Amakhosi played out a goalless draw against Cosmos in a PSL encounter on Tuesday night in front of a full house at Olen Park Stadium in Potchefstroom.
Chiefs have now drawn five of their opening seven games and Steve Komphela’s side look as though they are becoming draw specialists.
Masilela has indicated that the Amakhosi had Cosmos on the ropes but just couldn’t find a way to breach their defence.
“They were fighting for their dear life. It was a good game. We had chances, but we didn’t take them. Our best was not enough,” Masilela told Chiefs’ official website.
“The football ‘gods’ are not on our side at the moment. That happens. However, we will fix it and come right soon.
“I came close to scoring as I nearly did against Ajax. Scoring is every player’s responsibility, because it can’t be only the responsibility of the striker.
“When you get a chance, you must take a shot at goal. Their goalkeeper was named ‘Man of the Match’, which shows that they were under siege as well.”
Based on Chiefs’ start to the season do you think they will defend the league? What do you think needs to change at the club?
