Tlou Segolela’s agent, Tim Sukazi, is pleased with the recent game time his player has been receiving in the Telkom Knockout Cup competition and, believes the Orlando Pirates winger can build on this momentum to gain a regular place in Vladimir Vermezović's team.
'Sox' featured for the Buccaneers in their 4-1 rout against Ajax Captain in the quarter-final stages of the TKO and made VV’s starting 11 against SuperSport United in semi-final where they succumbed to the Tshwane outfit by 2-0.
“Game time is what was crucial for us and I’m pleased that Tlou is getting some minutes to fight for his place in the starting 11,” Sukazi told the Siya crew.
“He needs to build on this,” added the Bucs winger’s agent.
The crew reported that Segolela could be facing a possible exit out Parktown after falling down the pecking order for spaces on the left flank. VV has opted to start with the more experienced Daine Klate with newcomer Thabo Qalinge often deputising for Klate.
Mpumalanga Black Aces showed keen interest in bringing the fleet-footed Sox to their ranks in the August transfer window however Segolela opted to remain and fight for a position in the squad.
AmaZayoni further pursued the winger to lure him in the January transfer window however interest has since died down.
With exciting youngster, Menzi Masuku ascending within the ranks at Pirates, it still remains to be seen whether Segolela will enjoy more game time in future.
