Mamelodi Sundowns have released the list of players that are struggling with injuries and those that have made progress on their way to recovery.
Coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical team have been dealt a blow with news that Anthony Laffor has been ruled out of tonight’s game against AmaZulu, owing to an ankle injury.
“Mamelodi Sundowns have suffered an injury blow as winger Anthony Laffor has checked in with an ankle injury ahead of the all-important league match against AmaZulu. The Liberian ace picked up an ankle injury in the first half of the Telkom Knockout match against Platinum Stars but soldiered on.
“Lebogang Mokoena is back on the injury list after injuring his Achilles tendon, while Mulenga Makuka is making good progress with his recurring ankle injury. The goalkeeping department is the most affected, with Glenn Verbauwhede going for an ankle operation. Thela Ngobeni is also still undergoing rehabilitation for a knee injury.
“Punch Masenamela is to miss the match after getting a stomach bug and had to miss the training session leading up to the match. The good news however is the return of Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Thami Sangweni and Rodney Ramagalela although they won’t be part of the match-day travelling team,” sundownsfc.co.za revealed.
