Former Kaizer Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, has indicated that contrary to widespread belief, he did not leave the Amakhosi with harsh feelings.

Baxter decided not to renew his contract at Naturena at the end of last season, following a highly successful three years in charge of the Glamour Boys.
There was speculation that the Englishman and the club did not see eye to eye on a number of issues but Baxter has set the record straight saying that was not the reason behind his departure.
“Lots of people seem to have been saying that I left in a way where I was moaning and groaning, but it wasn’t that way. There are tensions at clubs all over the world. I think it was Alex Ferguson who said that it was the tensions at Manchester United that drove them to succeed because they were all winners.
“Our decisions weren’t made on the spur of the moment. Everyone involved deliberated them all and I’d like people to know that, I suppose. When I left it was weighed up by myself and the management, and it was decided that the time was right.
“Why would I want to blame anybody when we’d just won two doubles in three years? I don’t need to blame anyone because I didn’t have to defend my results. Whatever tensions were there, we still got the results,” Baxter said.
