News coming out of Turkey is that former Kaizer Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, has been fired from Turkish club Genclerbirligi after only two league games in charge.
Baxter failed to pick up any points in his first two Super Lig games in charge of the Turkish outfit, losing 3-2 to Rizespor and going down 3-1 to Antalyaspor.
According to Turkish website Fanatik, the club have already decided to part ways with the Englishman after he joined the Ankara-based side in the off season.
Baxter has been replaced by Steve Komphela at Chiefs at the end of last season following a successful spell in charge of the Soweto giants.
The former Chiefs mentor announced his departure from the Amakhosi at a press conference at the beginning of June citing professional “tension” as the reason behind his exit.
After several attempts to call Baxter for comment, Soccer Laduma were unable to get hold of the coach.
