Platinum Stars defender, Gift Sithole, is linked with the club’s exit door. The 32-year-old is finding the going tough with getting regular game time, under Allan Freese at the North West-based outfit.
With just five league starts for him so far in the 2014/15 Absa Premiership season, sources close to Dikwena reveal that Sithole is no longer in the team’s plans for the future.
“It sounds like Gift Sithole will be released from the club at the end of the season. He is one of the players that are expected to leave the club when the management will be working on the squad for next season, in the upcoming few weeks,” a source close to Stars revealed.
Sithole last enjoyed his football and achieved success when he was with Chippa United.
He was the recipient of the Golf GTI when Chippa boss, Siviwe Mpengesi, offered the stylish car to an outstanding player in their successful PSL promotion campaign in 2012.
