Downs Defender’s Future Up In The Air At Chloorkop
Siyanda Zwane Doesn't Know If He'll Remain With Mamelodi Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Siyanda Zwane, is still unsure about where his future may lie, and is yet to sign a new contract at the club.
Zwane, 31, has struggled to break into Pitso Mosimane’s side this year following the acquisition of Anele Ngcongca and the emergence of Thapelo Morena at right-back, although he was regularly used as Masandawana clinched the CAF Champions League title.
With his current contract expiring at the end of the month, the former Golden Arrows seems to be without a decision going into the last few months of his deal.
The crew spoke to Zwane’s agent, Mandla Mthembu, who confirmed that they have met with the club, but don’t yet know the way forward.
Speaking in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, Mthembu said, “Yes, Siyanda’s contract with Sundowns is coming to an end in June, as things stand. We recently met with them about that and we are now waiting on them to find the way forward.”
Zwane is able to talk to other interested parties now that he is in the last six months of his contract.
