The two former Chippa United players have been in the football wilderness for some time, since their unsuccessful stints with different clubs in the National First Division.
Siwahla parted ways with the Chilli Boys at the end of last season, following the club’s promotion to the PSL.
He recently tried his luck at Cape Town All Stars, without any success in his search for a club in the second tier of South African football.
Qalanto had an unsuccessful stint with Milano United, before disappearing from big-time football. Bucks general manager, Lunga Tukute, confirmed to the Siya crew that the two players have been signed by his club.
“I can safely confirm to you that we have signed Welcome Qalanto and Mkhanyiseli Siwahla. Mkhanyiseli is in his fourth week with us, while Qalanto is in his second week with the team now. They haven’t started playing yet. We are working on their fitness levels at the moment.
"We’ve signed them. We haven’t called them for trials. We are just working on their condition. We are playing a friendly game against an SAB League team as I’m talking to you. The game has just started. We are at the top of the log. We are pushing for that (promotion to the NFD),” said Tukute.
Amathol'amnyama, as Bucks are known in football circles, also have former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siyabulela Songwiqi, on their books.
