Mamelodi Sundowns’ Brazilian defender, Ricardo Nascimento, is on a short-term deal with the Chloorkop club.
In his first season in the PSL, the centre-back appears to be adapting well at Sundowns under coach Pitso Mosimane.
Siya sources have revealed that Nascimento signed a two-year deal with Sundowns, contrary to media reports having indicated otherwise.
It was previously reported that the player had agreed to a three-year contract, which included options. As reported in edition 993 of Soccer Laduma, the Brazilian is actually on a one-year deal, which includes a clause with a one-year option.
“He signed one-year plus an extra (one year) as an option,” said the source.
The 29-year-old was in the Sundowns side that lost 3-0 against Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 final on the weekend.
