South African Duo Secure French Move
The list of South Africans plying their trade overseas has grown by two more names after a couple of youngsters from Mzansi landed themselves contracts in France.
Keanu Cupido and Tholang Masegela, both Diambars Academy graduates, aren’t strangers to French football having previously been over there on trial last year, however it appears that on their most recent trip they turned a few heads.
South Africa currently has Kermit Erasmus and Lebo Mothiba playing for RC Lens and Valenciennes respectively, while Keagan Dolly recently completed a move to Montpellier from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Now, according to Siya sources, the teenagers have penned deals with Ligue 2 outfit, AC Ajaccio, a club with whom Ruud Krol spent a spell playing for.
The Siya crew have been informed that the duo signed 18-month contracts with L’ours that will see them through until the end of the 2017/18 season as they continue their development, although the contracts length are unconfirmed at this stage.
Cupido and Masegela are currently training with Ajaccio’s reserves and will be taking aim at a spot in the senior side as the current season draws to a close.
