Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango and SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie were shortlisted for the CAF Player of the Year awards.

Denis Onyango was the only South African-based player to be nominated for the main award, the African Player of the Year as well as the African-based Player of the Year award.
Brockie, meanwhile, was only shortlisted for the African-based Player of the Year award following his impressive showings in the CAF Confederation Cup.
SuperSport United, who reached the CAF Confederation Cup final, were nominated for Club of the Year, while Banyana Banyana were nominated for Women's National Team of the Year.
