The PSL’s 10 Biggest Signings As Window Slams Shut
The Premier Soccer League’s transfer window slammed shut over the weekend, but not before clubs around the country were able to bring in several new faces, but who caught the biggest fish?

Khama Billiat, Lebogang Manyama, Andile Jali, Phakamani Mahlambi, Mosa Lebusa, Lebohang Maboe, Brilliant Khuzwayo, Vincent Pule, Godfrey Walusimbi and Jose Ali Meza were among the biggest moves that happened, with South Africa’s ‘Big Three’ all making big changes in this window.
Chiefs picked up arguably the best player in the country in Billiat, landing him as a free agent, and also snapped up the in-demand Manyama after his exit from Konyaspor in Turkey. Meanwhile, their signing of Ugandan international, Godfrey Walusimbi, could be big news due to his experience at continental and international level.
Masandawana had an extremely busy – and expensive – window as Patrice Motsepe opened up his chequebook to bring in huge names such as Jali, Mahlambi, Meza and Lebusa – who was wanted by both Chiefs and Pirates – while also landing one of the country’s hottest talents in Maboe.
The Buccaneers, meanwhile, swooped in to take Khuzwayo from their Soweto rivals, and also signed Pule, a man who was heavily linked with a switch to Naturena.
Unfortunately for the three clubs though, none of their new signings has been able to fire them to new heights at this point, with all three knocked out of the MTN8 and just four victories amongst them in the Absa Premiership.
