SuperSport United’s teen starlet, Jake Aresti, will spend the next 54 days trying to show Dutch Eredivisie side, PEC Zwolle, that he is deserving of a contract.
Aresti, who is only 15, has been invited back for a second trial after impressing during a training spell last year, and while last time he went with Nelson Maluleke and Safwan Hendricks, this time he’s going alone.
The news of Aresti’s latest Zwolle spell was confirmed by Matsatsantsa yesterday evening as the youngster jetted out to Europe to begin his two-month spell with the Eredivisie outfit.
Zwolle do have history with South African players having signed Kamohelo Mokotjo from Feyenoord - before selling him to FC Twente - not so long ago, while they also had Dean Patricio and Miguel Dias at the club for a while.
Aresti clearly left a lasting impression on the Zwolle technical team during his last visit, and he will no doubt be eager to build on that this time around.
