Platinum Stars have confirmed all of their new signings for the season so far, including the acquisition of FC Buffalo winger, Joseph Banyani, and Thanda Royal Zulu’s Isaac Nhlapo.
Banyani, 23, and Nhlapo, 24, were two of the six signings confirmed by the club’s football manager, Senzo Mazingiza, alongside Letladi Madubanya, Lucky Nguzana, Patrick Kaunda and Marothi Diale, while Ndumiso Mabena has also been snapped up from Orlando Pirates.
Mazingiza also confirmed that all of his new players have signed two year deals, with a one-year option should they impress at the club.
The seven new players were acquired after following the loss of a number of the squad that won the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout last season, with the likes of Benson Mhlongo, Henrico Botes and Lindokuhle Mbatha, all moving on.
Now, with their first game of the competitive season on the horizon, Allan Freese will be hoping he has managed to have the new players gel quickly enough so that they can defend their MTN8 title against Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend.
