Five Debuts As Chiefs & Sundowns Flex Muscles
Both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns handed debuts to big-name stars this weekend in the Absa Premiership, with Phakamani Mahlambi starring for Masandawana with a goal.

Mahlambi, who joined the Brazilians in a big-money move from Al Ahly in Egypt, scored one of the goals as they drew 3-3 with AmaZulu, and was heavily involved as his side twice fought back from behind to grab a draw.
Meanwhile, it wasn’t such a good first outing for Mahlambi’s new teammate, Reyaad Pieterse, who will be been unhappy with his performance in the game as he was handed his first appearance by Pitso Mosimane.
Elsewhere, down in Cape Town, it was a happy return for Lebogang Manyama as he helped Kaizer Chiefs to a 4-1 victory over his former side, Cape Town City, playing 77 minutes as he went off with the score at 2-1.
Maritzburg United also handed a debut out to Yannick Zakri after he made the switch from Chloorkop before the international break, however he was unable to help them avoid a 0-0 draw with Bidvest Wits, while William Twala got his first taste of action with Free State Stars as the former Amakhosi man came on in their 1-0 defeat to Polokwane City.
