Orlando Pirates maintained the same line-up for successive matches against Cape Town City and Baroka FC respectively and coach Milutin Sredojevic has explained the reasoning.
Following the disappointment of their 2-2 draw against City on Wednesday, the Buccaneers bounced back with a 2-1 win over Baroka on Saturday to progress on the log standings.

In both the matches, Bucs had Siyabonga Mpontshane, Happy Jele, Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Innocent Maela, Thabo Matlaba, Xola Mlambo, Ben Motshwari, Thembinkosi Lorch, Vincent Pule, Paseka Mako and Augustine Mulenga in their line-up.
Head Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has explained that the technical team’s decision to keep the same line-up was motivated by the players’ disappointment after the City match.
“Coming back to the dressing room after that result (against City), we need to tell you the truth that our players’ faces told us a thousand stories. They felt guilty in that result that we didn’t retain what he had in the first half,” Sredojevic told the media after the Baroka match.

“We have seen inside their eyes, and as a matter of soul, we have seen inside their body language and face language that they were disappointed. So, in order to relieve themselves, we had this match… we put the same line-up to correct whatever was wrong and whatever was right to keep it up,” explained the coach.
