Orlando Pirates new arrival, Issa Sarr, has provided teammate and fellow midfield man, Thandani “Bibo” Ntshumayelo, with some respite, this according to Bibo himself.
The Senegalese international was brought in from Platinum Stars to bolster the Bucs midfield after the departure of Andile Jali who left for KV Oostende in Belgium.
Speaking to the Orlando Pirates website, Bibo expressed the privileges of playing alongside the tough tackling and non-compromising Sarr.
“Sarr is class,” explains Ntshumayelo. “It is very easy to play next to him. He gives you 100% and if your man has left you, Sarr will try very hard to give you cover,” explained Bibo.
“He was brought here for that. He really plays simple; it has been a real privilege to play alongside him.
“Now I know I have to focus on getting the ball to the guys up front and I don’t have to worry because Sarr will do a good job if I go forward.
“It is easy to play with Sarr for the whole team. The guys upfront just have to focus on doing their job, they have enough confidence to score goals and that is positive.
“We can now see that we are becoming a great unit, which is good because we have big dreams for this season, added Ntshumayelo.
Pirates play AmaZulu at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday, August 20 at 19:30.
