Ajax Cape Town head coach, Muhsin Ertugral spoke highly of his new signing from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Siya crew broke the news last week that Siyanda Zwane was spotted at the Urban Warriors, with sources revealing that the right back was set to conclude a loan move to the Mother City.
Ajax confirmed the signing of the 32-year-old defender yesterday, with Head Coach Ertugral heaping praise Zwane’s ability.
“He is a marvellous player to watch, he does everything right and has all the fundamentals of a top player,” Ertugral said on Ajax’s official website.
“Siyanda is a workaholic, we are happy to have him with us and we are looking forward to his contribution and what he will add down the right flank.”
Ajax will host Orlando Pirates at the Cape Town Stadium tomorrow, January 31, with the Turkish-born head coach revealing that the encounter will be like a chess game.
“When Ajax Cape Town was born, all those early years when I was with Kaizer Chiefs we used to come down here, get walloped and go home. We need to re-kindle that identity.
“If you don’t have good wing play you can’t stretch the opponents. Outside gives you space on the inside. This game against Pirates will be a chess game.”
