Mamelodi Sundowns are yet to make a decision on Eleazar Rodgers, with the Brazilians having regrouped for pre-season training.
The player spent last season on loan at Ajax Cape Town and returned to the Chloorkop-based club for pre-season, however the former Santos man revealed that he is not certain yet about his future at the club.
Speaking to the crew, Rodgers, said he’s enjoying the training sessions at the club and every player is back despite the fact that he’s not sure yet about his tomorrow.
“We’re just working hard here in training and there’s nothing much. The sessions are always intense here as all the players are back. Other than that, I’m enjoying myself and looking forward to more sessions with the guys.
"I haven’t spoken to the technical team or the coach about my future as we just came back. I hope he’ll discuss my future soon before the season starts. There were other players coming back from loan spells so we’ll wait and see. I’m hoping to know soon because there are many strikers, so I doubt that we’re all in the coach’s plans,” alluded Rodgers.
This past season, the former Santos forward started 11 games and came off the bench four times for the Urban Warriors while netting four goals in the process.
The crew will monitor the 29-year old’s situation and keep you in the know.
