Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical team are expected to work on the fitness levels of the squad, while the management will be working on the issue of players and their situation at the club this week.
The Brazilians are back at the club’s headquarters following their return from the off-season break. All the players that are contracted to the club are expected to be part of the proceedings at Chloorkop this week.
The Tshwane outfit is expected to make a decision on the players that will be loaned out to other clubs before the start of the 2014/15 season, as new players are joining the team.
“It was back to the grindstone for Mamelodi Sundowns as the players returned from a break following the team’s successful Absa Premiership campaign this week.
"All contracted players were required to report for duty on Monday, which was set aside for checking in. This includes players who were on loan.
"It is expected that most of the week will be for fitness assessment and formalities of determining the status of the players.
"Head of Technical Mike Ntombela said that all was on track for the return of the players, and preparations for the new season would begin in earnest once all formalities had been concluded,” sundownsfc.co.za revealed.
