News reaching the Siya crew is that Kaizer Chiefs have been monitoring Sfiso Nzimande with a view to add him to the team for the 2014/15 season.
The defender played for Witbank Spurs last season. The 22-year-old left back is a product of the School of Excellence, and is one of the players that stood out for Spurs during last season’s Nedbank Cup, against Free State Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.
According to information received by the Siya crew, Nzimande’s boss at Spurs Themba Mafu is willing to sell the player.
When asked about the news of Chiefs’ interest in Nzimande, Mafu told the Siya crew that there is a meeting coming up about the player’s future.
“I can’t confirm that. I cannot confirm at the moment. I can only confirm after tomorrow because I know that there is a meeting that is still going to take place. So I can’t confirm anything now, I really don’t have to,” said Mafu.
The Siyavutha boss has already confirmed to Soccer Laduma that his side have sold Sici Shelembe to Bloemfontein Celtic, as well as Patrick and Peter Mubayiwa to Chippa United.
Nzimande has attracted interest from a few other clubs in the PSL including Free State Stars and the University of Pretoria.
