Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Junior Khanye, has tipped fan-favourite Hendrick Ekstein to become a great player for the Amakhosi.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma in edition 961, the former Chiefs dribbling-wizard heaped praise on 'Pule' but simultaneously shared some words of advice for the 25-year-old, regarding his approach to games.
“The boy has the potential to become one of the best players to wear Chiefs’ jersey. He has to understand that he has to play every game like it is a cup final and grab any opportunity that comes his way,” Khanye said.
The attacking midfielder has struggled for game-time under Steve Komphela’s helm, having made seven league appearances this season and only making the starting line-up on two occasions.
Khanye also warned Pule about getting complacent, which could spell the end of his career at the Glamour Boys.
“There are no second chances there! While you are busy playing on the field, the club is already looking to groom someone like you, or even better, to take over your position,” Khanye told Soccer Laduma.
“Getting the supporters excited isn’t enough; he’s got to show everyone that he is up to the challenge of being one of the best players,” Khanye concluded.
