Dikwena have already confirmed that Tshepo Gumede and Siyabonga Mpontshane have rejected the club’s offer for their contracts to be extended.
Mpeta is one of the players that have attracted interest from PSL clubs, following his impressive performances for Stars under Allan Freese and his technical team.
SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic are some of the clubs that have been interested in the left back for their respective teams.
However, the 25-year-old has rejected offers to join both clubs, according to information on the Siya crew’s desk.
“The player and his brother have been in negotiations with Platinum Stars for a new deal. The parties didn’t reach an agreement. Mpeta’s camp felt that the money that Stars were offering the player was too little.
"The boy will definitely be leaving the club at the end of the season. He is no longer interested in staying. Negotiations with SuperSport and Celtic have also failed to yield positive results,” a source close to Mpeta told the Siya crew.
Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are believed to be monitoring the player’s situation very closely.
