Former Ajax Cape Town and Maritzburg United midfielder, Nhlanhla Vilakazi, had no luck at SuperSport United as he looked to try and land himself a contract at the club.
The 28-year-old left Maritzburg United back in August as he was handed his clearance just before the closure of the South African transfer window, meaning that he was free to take his time to look for a new club.
According to Siya sources, Vilakazi had been training with Matsatsantsa recently as he attempted to persuade head coach, Gordon Igesund, that he is deserving of a deal in Tshwane, however has now been told that he will not be given one.
The former Urban Warrior has struggled to push on in the last couple of years, spending a lot more time on the bench in Cape Town and Pietermaritzburg than he will have wished.
With him now having been without a club for nearly two months, ‘Vila’ will be eager to move on to his next opportunity and try to get his career back on track.
