Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana skipper, Neil Tovey has his fitness to be thankful for after his speedy recovery from his multiple heart attacks.
Last month the 52-year-old legend was hospitalised after suffering a triple heart attack.
Since then, Tovey has been released from hospital and is recovering well at home in Durban.
According to his elder brother, Mark Tovey, a former football professional and Chiefs player himself, 'Mokoko’s physical conditioning has played a crucial part in his recovery process.
“Being fit helped very much. That’s because exercise strengthens the heart muscle…” Mark told the Siya crew.
Another former South African great in John Shoes Moshoeu is said to be recovering well at home from his undisclosed illness as indicated by the Siya crew earlier.
South Africans waited with baited breath and sent their prayers to the two legends following reports of their respective hospitalisations.
