Ndlovu Racially Abused In Israel

South African striker, Dino Ndlovu, will be keen to fast-track his Maccabi Haifa exit after he was racially abused after a training session in Israel.

The 23-year-old has had a tough time in recent months, with head coach, Arik Benado, failing to give him a chance to prove himself in the first team, despite his impressive goal tally last season.

It was reported by the Siya crew last month that the player had been transfer listed by the club, and that his exit seemed imminent.

Now, with the Israeli transfer window opening on January 9th, the forward will be hoping to speed up his departure after an unsavoury encounter with some of the Haifa supporters.

According to Siya crew sources, the player was abused during Saturday’s training session, with fans throwing fireworks at him and telling him to go home.

Then, on the way out of training Ndlovu was threatened by fans who allegedly told him to go back to home to Uganda and were attempting to goad him into fighting with them.

After driving off it is alleged that the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic man has also received death threats from fans who have gotten hold of his contact details and called him on private numbers.

Ndlovu could well look to buy himself out of his contract in Israel in order to speed up his move, and should that be the case then it could alert a couple of South African teams such as Sundowns, who were previously interested in him, and Kaizer Chiefs, who are known to be after a new striker.
