National First Division club, Mthatha Bucks, have confirmed the new players that have joined the team for the upcoming season, including a striker from Zambia.
Following their successful escape from the relegation zone after a difficult first season in the NFD for the Mthatha-based side, Amathol’amnyama have made a few adjustments to the team for the new campaign.
Bucks confirmed the changes on the club’s official Facebook page:
Mthatha Bucks have just completed a good preparation camp in Pietermaritzburg from the 21/07/16 to 24/07/16. We played practice matches against Leicester City (invitation side), Real Kings United (NFD) and Re United (SAB).
We are also happy to announce that we have been able to retain 75% of the core of the squad from last season. The list includes: Samkelo Ndletyana, Mashale Rantabane, Bafana Dlamini, Mlungisi Maranti, Ayanda Klaas, Thabiso Mokoena and Petrus Ngebo, just to mention a few.
We have since added to our squad Sydney Masana (Free State Stars), Kangwa Chilesha (Zesco) a Zambian international striker, Moeketsi Ralenkoane and Mazwi Mncube (both Thanda Royal Zulu).
We have not yet completed our signings and we are still going to add a few more players to ensure we have a strong squad for the upcoming season.
We also wish to congratulate Bongani Kama who has taken a step further in his career as he earned a PSL contract with Chippa United after a successful trial.
This coming weekend we will once again take a trip to Bloemfontein to play against Bloemfontein Celtic (PSL) and Royal Eagles (NFD) as part of our ongoing preparations.
